Now running ExpressionEngine 1.6

ExpressionEngine logoThe Hot Iron is now running the latest release of ExpressionEngine, 1.6. The upgrade was straightforward a model for Web-based packaged applications.

Of course thorough testing continues, and please let me know if you find anything out of the ordinary, or different from what you would expect from this little blog.

And no, I don't run WordPress. Nothing against the world's most widely used blog engine, but I came upon EE and liked it a lot!

Expression Engine! Rock on! I was gonna use that as the platform to develop all my sites on, but the site license cost was too prohibitive to me (I likes the free). I’m glad to see you using EE. I hope it’s easier to implement than Drupal (my platform of choice). However, spudart.org still runs on pMachine, the platform that the EE guys first started with.

Hi Matt - There’s a lot you can do with EE and I am only scratching the surface it with The Hot Iron and another project in the works, sourcegate.
